About the Swim Timer
Pool sessions fall apart when rest is guessed and send-offs drift. This Swim Timer is a simple browser countdown for interval rests, drill blocks, and deck-side work when you need a clear alarm without juggling a complicated lap logger. Use it for fixed rest on the wall, timed kick sets, or dryland prep beside the pool. If you need stroke fields, lap targets, and split history, open the dedicated Swimming Timer instead - that tool is built for structured pool logging.
How to use it
- Choose a preset (5, 10, 15, or 25 minutes) or enter hours, minutes, and seconds for your rest or drill block.
- Press Start when the set begins or when athletes hit the wall for rest.
- Use Space to pause, and Reset when the next interval should start clean.
- Enable sound and keep the tab visible, or fullscreen on a deck tablet so the coach and lane share one clock.
- For lap splits and stroke tracking, switch to the Swimming Timer or a Lap Stopwatch.
Good to know
The countdown follows your device clock while this tab stays open. If the phone locks or the browser pauses the tab, the alarm can be late. Keep the screen awake when children are waiting on it.
